While there are many people who support animal rights, there are still many who point out the facts against animal rights because the activists are not always truthful about the facts. For instance, one website related to animal rights had displayed a photograph of sheep being held in a holding yard, and this photograph's caption told visitors that is how sheep spent their entire lives. However, the website did not make any mention of the green pasture that was visible in the photograph where most probably the sheep were let out to graze on a daily basis.
Another fact against animal rights is that activists tend to take one rare incident of animal cruelty and then try to make people believe that this incident is widespread and take place all across industries that use animals. In fact, according to some vets, many videos that are posted on websites that deal with animal rights are not factually correct. Also, some of the videos are very old before laws pertaining to animal rights and cruelty were enacted.
One more fact against animal rights is that many groups have not raised funds to actually help the animals. Many animal rights groups do not run adequate shelters, do help birds after an oil spill or do not provide medical care for pets of owners who cannot afford to pay for treatment. Above all, they have no programs to help conserve and protect wildlife that is labeled as endangered. Rather, the groups concentrate more on political activism.
