Another famous and liked one is the silver angelfish. These fish possess silver bodies with yellowish head and black vertical markings. These markings vary largely from dark or light to solid or broken.

The young Koie angelfish can be recognized by a red color under the eyes. As they mature, this red hue fades away. Another exceptional variety is the Smoky angelfish. On their anterior half they have a beautiful shiny silver shade and on the posterior half they have either dark grey or ebony shade.
