While bees are beneficial for gardeners looking to pollinate their plants, they can also be a menace. Hence, many people want to remove bees with the help of chemicals.

However, use of chemicals to get rid of bees is a controversial topic and usually this practice is discouraged. However, if you still want to know how to remove bees with chemicals, then read on.

If there are only a few bee hives in your garden, then you can use sprays like Sevin. You need to go out in the dark or late in the night like 10 or 11 pm when the bees are resting and not flying around. Make sure your entire body is covered with a jacket and also use a face mask. Use goggles to protect your eyes and strong and thick gloves. Make sure every inch of your body is covered including the ears. Do not leave any part of your body exposed because the bees can come and sting the exposed parts. Stand about 10 feet away from the hives and point at it and then spray about 4 to 5 times. The chemical has a strong smell and it will take some time to get to the bees. After some time you might hear the bees humming around; however, do not get worried. The following morning you will find them dead. (See Reference 1)

The second alternative is to use a pesticide. This should be done when the bees have been around just for one or two days. Use the pesticide directly in the hive to remove the bees. The pesticide will kill the bees in the hive itself. Ensure that the dead bees are removed at once. (See Reference 1)
