A centipede running around your belongings is no pleasant sight. Unless you love invertebrate creatures with multiple legs that look wormy and crawly, you would undoubtedly be looking for ideas to get them off your homes forever. These creatures can vary in size. They are not venomous and therefore pose absolutely no threat to humans. They do have poisonous sacs behind their head. They use the venom to catch small insects, worms, moths, etc. They do not attack humans unless they feel seriously threatened or are desperately. However, if you are allergic to insect bites, it is advisable to consult a doctor immediately and receive anti venom medications to prevent aggravation of centipede’s bites.
Centipedes love damp humid conditions. They will creep under leaves, clothes, etc. You can easily find them in wardrobes, cupboards, garage rooms, etc. The first method to get rid of them is to throw them out the minute you spot one. This will prevent the creatures from being accustomed to the same place.
Bathrooms are commonplaces to find centipedes. Keep your homes moist free. Wipe off any moisture on the floors or surfaces. Keep the areas well ventilated. You can also use diatomaceous earth to prevent re entry of centipedes inside your homes. This earth is quite harmless to your kids and pets. It is therefore very safe to use unlike other chemicals. Cleaning the rooms and dusting off clothes is also necessary. Remove dried up leaves if they are scattered around in the area. Keep the area well ventilated to prevent accumulation of moisture and humidity.
