How To Make A Vanilla Latte At Home ?
Vanilla lattes are extremely delicious and easy to prepare as well. With a few minutes to spare, you can prepare these lip-smacking delicacies at home. They are very economical too.
You will need:
- Vanilla extract
- Espresso machine
- Stainless steel pitcher
- Food thermometer
Pour ten ounces of milk in a stainless steel seaming pitcher. Place a food thermometer on the side and a steam wand diagonally just below the milk surface. Heat milk and slightly raise the steam wand towards the surface. This will create a perfect frothy layer on top. Once you have completed making enough froth on top, dip the steam wand inside to prevent further frothing. When the milk reaches a temperature of 150 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, turn the steamer off. Make sure the temperature does not rise beyond 170 degrees Fahrenheit. This will give a burnt flavor.
Now pour one oz of vanilla syrup into a cup. Pull a perfect shot of espresso. Make sure you use extremely fresh coffee beans for this purpose. Grind the beans just before using them to enjoy the freshness. The correct espresso should be caramel in color. If it is dark brown, the drink will taste bitter.
Pour the steamed milk into cup that contains vanilla syrup (make sure you do not let the froth to flow through). Pour the espresso immediately and carefully place the frothy layer on top. Your vanilla latte is ready!
