Extrasensory Perception Facts

Extra sensory perception is also known as ESP and sixth sense. Psychiatrists define it as the achieving of information that cannot be obtained by seeing, hearing or smelling and feeling. That is it is not something that can be determined by normal sensory perceptions.

When a person experiences the extra sensory perception, they do not know whether it is right or wrong. They do not know whether to believe their feelings or not because they are confused. There is no proof through the other normal senses that they can depend on. That is why it is called as a perception.

All human beings have some amount of extra sensory perception. Some scientists believe that if a certain part of the brain is over developed then such people have extra ordinary extra sensory perceptions. ESP capability may be something that lies within the human mind but the human being does not know how to use it. Some psychiatrists call it paranormal cognition or in other words it means that the mind is able to sense something that is not normally visible.

Parapsychology has not been clearly explained because there is no evidence to prove it. Sometimes the premonitions in the mind take place and sometimes it does not. There is no guarantee of the events that the mind predicts will take place. ESP also activates certain senses of sight and hearing and exposes us to the unbelievable. There are a few people who claim had seen dead people or ghosts. However, this could be a result of ESP or they may be termed as schizophrenic also.
