A person should use his common sense and the condition of the room to take advantage of the various auspicious positions according to the principles of Feng Shui. According to one Feng Shui school of thought, Commanding Position theory shows how to get the most powerful bed position.
The first principle of Commanding Position explains that a person will not need to analyze whether his bed faces north, south, east or west. He can simply place bed according to how it narrates to other important characteristic of the room, that is, the door.
The second principle of Commanding Position shows that bed position should enable the sleeper to get the widest view of the room. A reduced view of the room can cause some problem with the person's life vision. The bigger the gap in front of the bed, the more life breathes, improves and expands. Feng Shui for this particular reason lays emphasis about not positioning the bed against the bedroom wall.
The third principle Commanding Position states that bed should be placed as far as possible from bedroom door. If door is on right, the best place for bed is extreme left in the room. Similarly if door is on left, the best position is the far right corner of the room and if door is in center, best location can be far left or far right corner of room. The farther the bed stays from door, more control a person can feel over his space and his life.
The fourth principle of Commanding Position states that one should clearly be able to see the door from the bed. It means that when a person is lying on the bed, he should be able to see the door without repositioning his body. The fifth principle Commanding Position states that the bed should never be positioned directly in front of the door, otherwise it can lead to diseases in the middle parts of the body. While following this principle, one can choose any 3 alternatives for finding a good placement for the bed.
