The meaning of each tarot card is very wide and interpreted differently by different people. The meaning is also dependent on the type of tarot cards used and what the reader senses or feels at the time of the reading. However, there are broad meanings associated with each tarot card.

The deck of cards used for tarot reading is divided in Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. In Major Arcana, the meaning of each tarot card is as follows:
