What Is Scrying ?

Scrying is an ancient methodology which was used by people to connect to one’s inner self. It is a tool used to gain information of one’s past, present and future. The process involves using one’s mind and there is nothing scary about it. There are many tools or devices that people use for scrying. Some of them are mirror with silver polish and preferably framed in silver, black colored mirrors, crystal balls, clouds or water mixed with a drop of ink in a bowl.

One should move indoors for scrying during those times of the day when disturbances are minimal and choose a place with the required amount of silence.

The process of scrying involves gazing in to these objects with a mind free of other thoughts. In the light state of mind, one would be awake but not fully conscious and the gazing would be able to unfold pictures, moving scenes or images which will denote or have relevance to some happening in the past, present or future. Although many see cloudy images to begin with, practice will give the ability to focus attentively to see the images clearly.

This state of mind is similar to being in a hypnotized state wherein the mind is alert but in an altered state. The gazing in to the mirror or other objects should be at an angle and not reflect one’s image directly.

In order to get sense out of the picture that gets formed, one can make notes. This will assist in understanding any pattern in the occurrences and give an idea of any event that would occur in the future.
