Celery has several healing and therapeutic properties. Among all the herbs, celery has the highest nutritional value, and is good for maintaining overall health. As per the botanical classification celery belongs to the Apiaceae family. It is from the genus or specie of Apium graveolens. It is also called smallage, marsh parsley and wild celery.
Chinese and Indian cultures consider it to be an herb. Celery leaves have an aromatic flavor and they grow from seeds into a bulbous stock. The leaves can grow up to 50 centimeters in length.
