More and more couples are finding prenuptial marriage agreements to be a good idea for their future. This choice is not limited to couples who have a lot of money or even where one partner is financially better off than the other. Today, couples who want to be transparent about their financial status and be practical about future before they walk down the aisle.

Notarization is a mean to legally swear to the validity of the contents in a document. A notary or a legal representative will be witness to the signing of the document, and will also verify the contents before the concerned parties sign the document. Certain documents like affidavits, deeds and powers of attorney may not be legally binding unless they are properly notarized.

In addition, notarization of agreement is required to make sure that the parties involved have entered into agreements knowingly and willingly. On this note, whatever might transpire subsequently with the marriage, the contract will be legally binding for both parties. This is solemnized with an oath taken in the presence of a notary. 

Above all, notarization of agreement is required to prevent fraud and to guarantee its proper execution. This is also used in protecting the rights of both parties if the marriage ends in the future. Prenuptial agreement is a legal agreement and needs to be notarized so that it spells out how a couple will handle the financial aspects in case of a divorce. It further guarantees that whatever is agreed upon by the couple is effective in case of a divorce or legal separation.
