When viral diseases are mentioned, Herpes is never included. A situation which has its origin from viral infection; herpes is of two kinds -- genital and oral. The signs related with herpes incorporate painful bumps that rupture after a while, and then mend. Its recurrence is almost certain in 90 percent of known cases. This re-emergence of symptoms is known as "flare-up" or "outbreak."
Genital Herpes has its lineage in the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) associated with family of viruses that cause cold sores. Cold sores are generally caused by a type of Herpes Simplex Virus called HSV-1, and genital herpes is usually caused by HSV-2. However, both types can contaminate the genital regions, causing excruciating sores.
The argument then is can strong immune system rid herpes over time? So far, studies have shown that there is no therapy for genital herpes. The immune system as an entity is like an inside "defense force" or "resistance organism" of defensive cells within the body. Once the immune system is fragile, a herpes patient gets subjected to invasion by the herpes virus inside him/her. As such, the immune system is not up to full strength, resulting to the herpes prevailing in the combat, and the sufferer again experiences further outbreak of herpes sores.
In other words, a strong immune system only serves to prevent frequent outbreaks in persons already suffering from herpes, or sends the virus into an inactive phase, in which situation the person does not experience the symptoms. It does not, as a rule, rid the virus over time.
