Skin cancer is a cancer that develops in skin tissues. There are various kinds of skin cancers. One which is developed in melanocytes is known as melanoma while the other developing at the lower epidermis is known as the basal cells carcinoma. Some other kinds of cancers include squamous cells carcinoma and the neuroendocrine carcinoma. Skin cancer is quite a risky ailment as it may have various dangerous consequences.
The most common out of all these skin cancers is the basal cells carcinoma but the most dangerous one among all is the melanoma. Fortunately the death cases are not much in numbers but there are certainly some painful effects caused by skin cancer. Once skin cancer is formed in the skin of a person, there are several changes that one may experience in terms of the skin. For instance, half part of the abdominal skin becomes differently colored while the tan on different parts too varies in colors like red, black and brown. Some people also experience bleeding from areas which are affected by skin cancer.Skin cancer is pretty risky affair but that does not mean that it is incurable as there are several treatment measures that can be opted for curing these cancers. One of the commonest measures is surgery. But, it is advisable to prevent skin cancer rather than treating it once it develops. Minimizing exposure to sun is the foremost preventive measure that must be taken by every person. It is utmost important to protect the skin by using sunscreen lotions or creams while going out in the sun. One must try wearing clothes that cover the entire body or at least most of it.
