Procedures like bioscopy and endoscopy are conducted in order to diagnose the cancer. In the United States, nearly fifteen thousand people get stomach cancer every year. Among these, nearly 30 percent are kids. Also, in several cases of cancer of the stomach, obesity was an accompanying problem. Doctors wonder if obesity in kids and stomach cancer are interrelated. However, nobody knows the exact reason of stomach cancer as it is diagnosed only in advanced stages. Bad dietary habits may be one of the leading causes of cancer of the stomach in kids.
Children who are diagnosed with stomach cancer may have to go through surgery, radiation and chemotherapy in order to control the cancer. It is not something that can be cured in kids also. If the tumor is in an isolated location, then a surgery can be performed to remove it.
