Ringworm infection appears as a circular patch, which is red in color on the outer side, in the shape of a ring, and the inside of the ring is usually dry and itchy. The size of the rings can be very small or big. As the infection is spreading and becoming more severe, the itchiness and the redness becomes even more. Some types of ringworm infections occur only in humans. So in case you have an infected person at home, you should not touch them or use their things until the infection is cured. Also, wash all the personal items like towels and clothes that they use with an antibacterial or antifungal soap. Ringworm infection only goes through treatment, which is in the form of antifungal medications or creams.
