Here we are talking about a jump rope workout. Though people may have used jump rope while they were kids, using it as a tool to burn fat may sound funny to some people. But the fact is though a 15 minute walk is an easy thing to do, a 15 minute jump rope sounds easier than done. Jump rope workouts help tone up each and every muscle in the body.

To start your jump rope workout, you should keep the jump rope on the ground and stand right in the center. Then you should hold both the handles and bring them close to your chest and start your jump rope workout by jumping between each rotation. The other variation of jump rope workout is to do with alternate feet. This is equivalent to taking a running position.

But it is not possible for any one to be able to directly do a jump rope workout for 15 minutes. The reason is that in the beginning the calf muscles may get stiff due to these workouts. Therefore, in the initial one or two weeks, you should aim at a non stop jump rope workout for 5 minutes and gradually increase it.
