In the United States, most people practice yoga in their homes. However, if you have a bright and sunny weather, then practice yoga in the day light under the early morning sun. Evening sun is also ideal for practicing yoga.

Before yoga, indulge in a basic body warm up and then start your postures. When the body is warm you breathe better and also the blood circulation is better.

Each yoga posture can be repeated 3 to 5 times. Yoga is always done in sets and so in one 90 minute session you can practice about 26 postures and in different styles.

As beginners always concentrate on the breathing pattern so that you get it right. In yoga breathing is the most important part of it.

Yoga is best when done on an empty stomach. When the body is low energy, it uses the other available energy in the form of fat from the body.

Wear comfortable clothing while doing yoga. You need to be able to do stretches and also bend forward and backward with ease. Do not wear too tight clothes that do not allow you to breathe freely.
