Family System: The Poles value their family life more than their professional life. They have a very deep family system and live in closely knit units. Extended families are of utmost importance. They have a clear distinction between family members and colleagues. Their inner circle consists of immediate family members, extended family members and close “family friends”. The outsiders are strictly prohibited from enclosing this personal space.

Religion: Christianity is the most extensively practiced religion in Poland. They are predominantly Catholic. Christmas is a very important festival in the country. It is declared a national holiday and is celebrated with great fervor. The celebrations last for two and half days. All the family member sit together and eat “dzielenie oplatkiem”, a thin wafer, white in color. All Saints’ Day is another religious holiday observed on November 1 every year. On this day, the Poles visit the cemeteries and pay respect to their loved ones.
